We receive information constantly through visuals and have the ability to read situations with or without text. Visual rhetoric is the art of communicating effectively through images and texts. In this course, we will discuss how to read, analyze, and form arguments around a variety of texts, including art, film, performance, and other visual media. The goals of this course focus on helping you gain confidence and ability as a writer and reader of images. It will also invite you to become more aware of the decisions you make as a writer and reader as you approach both familiar and new writing situations.
